There are at least five artists named Zion.
1. ZION (ザイオン) is a Japanese alternative rock band from Tokachi, Hokkaido.
Vocals & Guitar - Mitsumura Tatsuya (光村龍哉; ex NICO touches the Walls)
Guitar - Kushino Keisuke (櫛野啓介; ex jealkb as sapoto)
Guitar - Yoshizawa Sachio (吉澤幸男; GAGAKIRIZE, 平方根レジェンド, Loloet)
Drums - Naruhashi Taichi (鳴橋大地)
Bass - Sato Shinnosuke (佐藤慎之介)
Formed in Tokyo in 2020. The band's name ZION comes from a visit to Zion National Park by members Mitsumura and Kushino in the United States . Mitsumura also said, "Among the FM radio stations in the United States, ZION was the name of a station that I thought was great. The songs they played were old bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones , and then suddenly Vampire Weekend . They played old and new rock all the time, and that felt really good." The band's first EP, Mountainphonic, was also inspired by the scenery and smell of the rugged rocky mountains they experienced during a visit to Zion National Park. The key visual for their 2023 live show "ZION LIVE (((( 4 Peaks ))))" was taken at Zion National Park.
Since September 2020, they have been based in the studio "White House", which was renovated by DIY from an old house in Tokachi, Hokkaido.
In August 2021, they started performing live in Sapporo.
They were selected as the RISING★STAR audition slot at RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2022 in EZO in August 2022, and will be the opening act.
In December 2022, they released their first album "SUN'n'JOY". In order to be recognized as a new Tokachi specialty, they will sell it exclusively at the roadside station "Pier 21 Shihoro" in Shihoro, Tokachi, Hokkaido. They will hold their first nationwide tour, starting with Sapporo PENNY LANE24. All performances are SOLD OUT.
They will carry out the "Tegami from White House" project for three months from May 2023. A limited number of "tegami" with a new song CD will be sold. All tickets are sold out by reservation.
The live house tour "((((4Peaks))))" will be held in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Sapporo from October 2023. In February 2024, the 1st EP "Mountainphonic" will be released. The release tour "Mountainphonic 凸" will be held.
In May 2024, the "Another Mountainphonic" tour will be held. In a special venue such as a church, a planetarium and a glass pyramid, the band will perform all songs with an acoustic sound based on the previous tour, but with arrangements that go beyond that framework, greatly expanding the band's possibilities. All performances are SOLD OUT.
In September 2024, the band will hold a live event at the White House for the first time, titled MYSTERY TOUR "Live in White House". It has been in the works for 4 years. There are plenty of elements other than live performances, such as a bus tour around Tokachi, a dinner produced by ZION, and a bonfire. Limited to 40 people per day for two days, tickets sold out in one day.
In October 2024, EIZO#3 "Another Mountainphonic△" will be announced. The first joint band tour "ZION CALLING" will be held. They will perform with Domico, Billyrrom, Hedigan's, and Homecomings.
On December 24, 2024, they will hold a Christmas live performance "Night of the Christmasist, by the Christmasist, for the Christmasist" at Sapporo Clock Tower Hall.
On February 1, 2025, they will release their second album "Countryman". They plan to hold a nationwide tour "Journey of A Countryman".
They aim to be a "world-class rock band" that will excite the world with music created while feeling the rich land of Hokkaido.

2. Zion (also known as Zumbi) is also the solo artist name of the MC from the world famous underground rap group Zion I fame from Oakland California. Zumbi became fascinated by Hip Hop in its early stages; songs like "The Breaks" by Kurtis Blow and "Rock Box" by Run-D.M.C. got him hooked on the budding culture. He has said that Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest gave him lyrical inspiration, originally feeling that his unique vocal tone and style wouldn't be accepted. Zumbi wrote his first rhyme around 1990 during one of his Social Studies classes in High School. After continuing his writing, he gained the confidence to start rapping in local ciphers and began learning about critical aspects of rapping, like breath control, cadences and rhyme patterns.
3. Zion was a reggae band fronted by Carlton Pride, son of country music legend Charley Pride.
Originally known as One, the name was changed to Zion in 1996. That same year Zion released the album Reggae Rock Down and headlined the Bob Marley Festival. They would continue to headline the Bob Marley Festival until 2003. The band has since undergone another name change and is now known as Carlton Pride & Mighty Zion.

Felix G. Ortiz-Torrez, professionally known as Zion (of Reggaeton group Zion y Lennox) is world renowned for romantic lyrics and a melodic sound that flows fluidly over Reggaeton rhythms. As part of the duo Zion y Lennox, he released a number of hit singles, including “Yo Voy,” and earned a gold plaque for their 2004 release, Motivando A La Yal.
In addition to making hits of his own, Zion has been featured on some of Reggaeton's most important records including Los Cocorocos, Luny Tunes’ Mas Flow, Don Omar’s King of Kings, Hector El Father’s Rompe Discotecas and many more. Now it’s time for the vocalist to step out as a solo artist with his highly-anticipated debut, The Perfect Melody in stores June 5, 2007.
Zion started his artistic career as a boy in Carolina, Puerto Rico. Young Felix would travel back and forth to visit and live with his family in the Bronx from time to time, but wasn’t taking music seriously as a career yet. It wasn’t until he began receiving constant praise from friends and family members encouraging him to pursue singing for real, that he decided to get focused. He worked with a couple of local producers and artists in P.R., grinded hard in the streets and eventually teamed up with Lennox.
