About Zara Larsson
Zara Maria Larsson (born 16 December 1997) is a Swedish singer-songwriter and actress. She gained national recognition in 2008 after winning the second season of Talang, the Swedish adaptation of the Got Talent format.
Larsson signed with TEN Music Group in 2012, releasing her debut EP Introducing in 2013 with the chart-topping single "Uncover" that hit number one in Scandinavia and earned six-times Platinum in Sweden. Her debut album 1 followed in 2014, leading to a deal with Epic Records in the US for international success.
Her second studio album, So Good, arrived in March 2017 after signing a major deal with Epic Records in the US, marking her international breakthrough with a string of global hits including "Lush Life" (peaking at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100), the emotional duet "Never Forget You" with MNEK, "Girls Like" alongside Tinie Tempah, "Ain't My Fault," and "I Would Like." The album blended catchy electropop with empowering lyrics, sold over a million copies worldwide, and topped charts across Europe while earning platinum certifications in multiple countries.
Poster Girl, her third studio album, was released on 5 March 2021 amid the pandemic, showcasing a more mature sound with introspective tracks like the lead single "Love Me Land" (co-written with Nisha), "Talk About Love" featuring Young Thug, and "Ruin My Life"; it debuted at No. 4 in Sweden and received praise for its blend of vulnerability and dance-pop energy, though it faced some delays due to global events.
Venus, her fourth album, dropped on 9 February 2024, embracing a bolder, Y2K-inspired aesthetic with hits such as the sultry "Can't Tame Her," the euphoric collaboration "On My Love" with David Guetta (which hit top 10 in over 20 countries), and tracks like "You Love Who You Love"; produced with a mix of electronic and R&B influences, it marked her creative evolution and strong chart performance in Europe and beyond.
Midnight Sun, Zara Larsson's fifth studio album, launched on 26 September 2025 via Sommer House and Epic Records, heralding a bold dance pop evolution. Standout tracks include "Blue Moon", "Girl's Girl", "Hot & Sexy", "The Ambition", "Saturn's Return", and finale "Puss Puss," earning universal acclaim with Metacritic's 89/100 for Larsson's vocal maturity and sonic risks. It stormed to No. 1 in Sweden (her third), No. 10 in Norway, Top Dance/Electronic Albums No. 3 in the US, and Billboard 200 No. 119 debut, with remarkable staying power as viral TikTok dances propelled "Midnight Sun" onto the Billboard Hot 100 months later in January 2026, alongside a chart resurgence for "Lush Life."
In 2025, she also supported Tate McRae on the Miss Possessive Tour before launching her own Midnight Sun Tour, ongoing into 2026. "Lush Life" resurged on charts via a viral dance video, while Midnight Sun trended on TikTok; a collaboration "Stateside" with PinkPantheress reached the top 50 in Sweden and the UK. She also starred in the 2024 film A Part of You. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
