upsammy

Upsammy (stylized as upsammy) is Dutch electronic music producer Thessa Torsing (born 1 April 1996 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands).

Having studied Image and Media Technology at the Utrecht University of the Arts, Torsing is intrigued by texture, shade and reflection–shaping a singular aesthetic that blurs the industrial-ecological divide. As a multidisciplinary artist she researches these interactions through photography and video, explorations which simultaneously influence her music production process. Her music takes cues from electro and IDM.

Torsing's debut EP, Another Place, came out in 2018 on the Nous'klaer record label. She has released a string of singles and EPs since, as well as four full-length efforts of her own: Wild Chamber (2019), Zoom (2020), Germ in a Population of Buldings (2023) and Strange Meridians (2024).

April 2026 saw the release of Seismo, a collaborative mini album with drummer, percussionist and composer, Valentina Magaletti. Many of the album's scrobbles will end up here, but it is formally credited to upsammy & Valentina Magaletti. Read more on Last.fm.
