About Tremulant
Biographies
Below you'll find every bio we've ever had. Start at the top and work your way back in time. :-)
Latest Bio:
Tremulant is currently celebrating the release of its first studio recording, entitled "Halflight."
Loosely defined, halflight is the greyish, silvery light that covers everything just before the sun climbs over the horizon. It lasts for only a few minutes, moments in which things shine enough to be beautiful, but not enough to reveal all of their truths. Tremulant's music lives in these moments, which the band recreates with three instruments and a dozen stories.
Fans of Coldplay, Incubus, U2, King's X, Death Cab, and The Police will want to introduce themselves to Tremulant.
Tremulant is Adam Christopher on bass, Ben Jones on lead vocals and guitar, and Darrin Samaha on drums and backing vocals.
Previous Bio:
Tremulant is a band who loves you. Tremulant is hard, and Tremulant is gentle. Tremulant is a shot of Jager. Tremulant bucks on the home stretch. Tremulant is ancient and new. Tremulant likes you shaken and stirred. Tremulant channels the future. Tremulant drives a muscle car. Tremulant wants to play in your living room. Tremulant is game seven. Tremulant will affect you deeply. Tremulant will infect you with rock. Tremulant knows what you need, and it is Tremulant.
The seeds of Tremulant were planted in early 2004 when Adam Christopher began filling in on bass for greystreet (the band in which Ben Jones & Darrin Samaha were performing) after the departure of greystreet's original bassist. Fast forward to fall of 2004 - greystreet had disbanded after a successful 4-year run, and Christopher had parted ways with his previous band, thirdshift. The three musicians found themselves at a convenient crossroads, and Tremulant was born.
Tremulant, simply defined, means a shimmering within music. Its letters can be rearranged to spell "Man Turtle." That's all you need to know for now.
