About Slabb
This is for "SLAB!" the band NOT "SLABB" the DJ. Somebody needs to give them separate profiles...
Industrial/Rock band with some semi-jazzy parts (? yeah, I know). Deep bass (especially for live sets), detuned guitars, some brass and keyboards make for a dense, dark and chunky industrial sound.
The album "Descension" originally released in 1987 and eventually re-released on Relapse or some offshoot of Relapse is the release to look out for, previous records made had a more straight rock/jazz feel to them *yawn* but Descension was raw and buzzing with creative electricity. Very original sound but if you need reference points... think Swans (especially Gira's vocal style), Foetus, Young Gods maybe some Godflesh(?) Read more on Last.fm.
