About Protect
Ricky Shanklin (born August 20, 2003), professionally known as Protect, is an upcoming American recording artist from Buffalo, New York. He is a member of Ball Hogs, a record label owned by his cousin BruceDropEmOff.
Protect started his music career in 2018, carving out a niche for himself in the underground music scene. His breakthrough came in 2024 when Bruce appeared in his music video for “Ball Hog Summer,” posted it on his channel, and promoted it heavily. This exposure helped Protect gain widespread recognition. His debut album, All On Me, was released on March 29, 2024, featuring 15 tracks that showcase his unique sound and talent. In late 2024, he landed a deal with Atlantic Records and shortly after signing released his sophomore studio album Ball Hog For Life on December 20, 2024. He would then release his third studio album 500 Days For Summer just 8 months later on August 15, 2025 . He's expected to release his fourth studio album All On Us sometime in June of 2026.
