No Thanks

1. No Thanks were a New York, USA Hardcore Punk band circa 1982-1985. The first incarnation of the band consisted of Rob: songwriter and guitarist, Jimi: bassist and background vox ,Seth :drummer and visionary, Donna Damage: singer, feminist artist and band manager.

This line up only lasted a few months and Demo 1982 became the love child of this project. During the summer of 1982, No Thanks changed dimensions and replaced Rob with bands bassist Jimi and added Jaime on bass. With this new line up No Thanks began to write music as a whole unit and thats when the band flourished. No Thanks recorded Are You Ready to Die? winter 1983 with Tony and Cleo7, Deadspace Records and A7 collaborators. Playing tons of shows mainly in Manhattan, No Thanks opened for Husker Du, Dead Kennedys, Necros,Bad Posture and MDC. No Thanks also gigged around Manhattan with XKI, False Prophets, Drunk Driving, Savage Circle,Rapid Deployment Force and many other local NYC bands.
