Mahmood Schricker

Mahmood Schricker (setar & programming): Mahmoud’s passion for Persian melodies drew him to study Persian classical music and setar with various masters such as Behrouz Hemmati, Amir Koushkani and Bahman Rahgozar. He released his debut album, Null, in 2012. This innovative ‘electro-Persion’ project includes collaborations with renowned Persian and Canadian artists including Mohsen Namjoo, Habib Meftah Boushehri, Reza Moghaddas, Maryem Toller and Ebrahim Rahnama. Silent City featuring Mohsen Namjoo was released as his first single in Oct, 2011. Moudy holds a Masters degree in ethnomusicology from York University, where he researched and studied Persian Art Music with Professor Rob Simms. Read more on Last.fm.
