Jellybean Benitez , www.myspace.com/jellybeanbenitez , the stagename of John Benitez was born on November 7, 1957. He is a American producer, songwriter, DJ, guitarist and drummer of Puerto Rican decent. He has produced and remixed for such artists as Madonna, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and The Pointer Sisters among others.
As Jellybean Benitez, he as scored hits with "Sidewalk Talk" with peaked at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100, #51 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hops Songs chart and #1 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart. Other songs include the #1 Hot Dance Club Songs chart hit, "The Mexican", and "Who Found Who" (#16 on the Billboard Hot 100).
Benitez cotinued to produce, remix and DJ through the 1990s into the new millenium.
