About Galantis
Originally a duo featuring Christian Karlsson of Miike Snow and Linus Eklöw from Style of Eye, Galantis is a Swedish electronic music act who represents the place where EDM and pop meet. Karlsson (the man behind hits like Britney Spears' "Toxic") met Eklöw (the man behind hits like Icona Pop's "I Love It") at the Robotberget studio in Stockholm. Their mutual admiration turned into a project once they began discussing a more poignant style of EDM that retained pop's passion. The duo set up shop on the Stockholm archipelago in the Baltic Sea, began recording, and released the "Smile" single on the Atlantic label in late 2013.
The duo garnered international fame after the release of their biggest hit "Runaway (U & I)" in 2014. By 2015 Galantis released their first album called "Pharmacy" which included their hits singles, "You","Peanut Butter Jelly" and "Gold Dust".
In 2017 they released their second album "The Aviary", the album included the single "No Money", which became Galantis' first single to debut on the Billboard Hot 100.
It was around this time that Linus silently quit the project but continued to make public appearances along with Christian for many performances and other projects until 2021.
Since then Galantis has released two albums, "Church" and "Rx", released in 2020 and 2024 respectively. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
