About Floor Baba

FLOOR BABA is the electronic music project of Jesse Martin, a producer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Youngstown, Ohio. Blending styles such as chiptune, future bass, IDM, vaporwave, jazz fusion, and glitch pop, FLOOR BABA has become known for an eclectic and colorful sound that draws from both nostalgic and experimental influences.

They began releasing music around 2015, with the album GAMEWAVE establishing their early reputation for video game-inspired compositions layered with energetic synths and fragmented beats. Later releases such as DIRT BIRD (2017), BOMBS-BALL (2021), and filthy/funny (2025) continued to evolve their sound, exploring chaotic percussion, lo-fi textures, jazzy arrangements, and playful melodic hooks. Their work frequently embraces a DIY spirit and off-kilter humor while still showcasing strong musicianship and intricate production.

FLOOR BABA is also one of the co-founders of the online label DESKPOP, which focuses on internet-native electronic music and experimental pop. They have participated in several compilation albums and released sample packs such as "BABA LAB INGREDIENTS" to encourage community remixing and collaboration. In addition to studio albums, FLOOR BABA has contributed to soundtracks for indie games like Egg Squeeze and Yars Rising, and has performed at events including MAGFest.

Identifying as non-binary, FLOOR BABA remains active in the digital underground scene, often releasing new material on Bandcamp and SoundCloud, and maintaining a visible presence across music platforms and online artist communities. Their discography continues to push genre boundaries, appealing to fans of glitchy, vibrant, and emotionally adventurous electronic music. Read more on Last.fm.
