Randy Findell, better known as brakence, is a singer, songwriter, rapper, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Columbus, OH. As a teenager, brakence began to produce his own music, and after dropping out of college, he began to focus solely on his music career. His music is lateral to the hyperpop and digicore scenes, while also blending styles of glitch pop, emo, electronic, and hip-hop. He released his label debut, "punk2", in March 2020, featuring the single "dropout". In December 2022, brakence released his second full length project, "hypochondriac", preceded by 5 singles. After the release of his sophomore album, brakence’s online presence slowly started to deteriorate, he would continue to feature on songs randomly, most notably being Aries’ “SLEEPWALKER (feat. brakence)” in 2025, which would be the last publicly available brakence song as of June 2026. brakence would keep releasing music under his alternate alias “trabint” on SoundCloud until 2024.
