Anvaya

Anvaya is the electrifying duo of lifelong musicians Kaushal and Sonia—both doctors, married partners, and artists whose creative journey began in medical school, where they first connected by sharing music with one another. Kaushal is a multi-instrumentalist and producer whose background in theory and composition are the foundations of Anvaya’s productions. Sonia is a vocalist and songwriter who draws from a background of classical music, theater, and jazz to effortlessly move between strength and vulnerability. What started as playing for each other during their early years in school naturally evolved into writing and producing music together, laying the foundation for a powerful artistic partnership.

Their collaboration seamlessly blends their South Asian heritage with contemporary electronic music to create an original sound. Formed in 2023, Anvaya joined the label Indo Warehouse, showcasing their cross-cultural sound on stages around the world—from massive festivals to intimate club settings. Their performances at Brooklyn Mirage, Sunburn Festival, ADE, and SXM Festival have marked their rapid ascent, with features on BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix and Diplo’s Revolution on Sirius XM.
